Sandhurst Town Council, Sandhurst, Berkshire.

Salary: £16,160 pa

(Standard week 37 hours, Mon-Thurs 8am-4.30pm, Fri 8am-4pm.)

(For one weekend in four, a maximum of three hours per day is worked, early on Saturday and Sunday.  Weekend hours are paid as overtime at an agreed rate.)

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, experienced and professional Groundsperson to join the busy, hard working team at Sandhurst Town Council.

Using a wide range of practical skills you will be a key part of continuing to present the beautiful and popular Sandhurst Town Council facilities to the community.

The post is based at the 60 acre Green Flag award winning Sandhurst Memorial Park, on Yorktown Road, Sandhurst with duties also regularly completed at the 10 acre site of Owlsmoor Park and occasional works are completed in the town of Sandhurst to support the wider work of the town council.

The successful applicant will be highly motivated, capable of both working well under their own direction and contributing within a close team.  You will bring the physical capacity and skills to operate standard turf and landscape maintenance equipment safely and effectively, taking pride and satisfaction in delivering high quality public open spaces, and providing facilities used for a range of sports, recreation activity, community events and as wildlife habitats.
