Sandhurst Memorial Park been recognised by the Green Flag Award Scheme as one of the very best in the world.
The park is among a record-breaking 2208 UK parks and green spaces that will today receive a prestigious Green Flag Award - the mark of a quality park or green space.
This international award, now into its third decade, is a sign to the public that the space boasts the highest possible environmental standards, is beautifully maintained and has excellent visitor facilities.
Cllr Mrs Jean Bettison Chairman of the Leisure Committee Sandhurst Town Council said “I am absolutely delighted that we have been awarded a Green Flag for the 19th year. It is truly a testament to our amazing ground staff who take such pride in our park. Here's to 20 next years!”

Sandhurst Memorial Park, an area for sport and informal recreation and Shepherd Meadows, a nature conservation site, are neighbouring sites on the River Blackwater in Sandhurst.
