It is indeed a great honour and privilege to have been elected Chairman of the Council and Mayor of Sandhurst. I will do my utmost to perform my duties to the best of my ability and I thank you for believing in me and giving me this great opportunity. I am looking forward to my year and to serve the community.
On behalf of all Councillors and myself, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Cllr Andy Blatchford for his hard work and commitment during his year as Mayor of Sandhurst. Andy will be a tough act to follow.
The charity I would like to support during my year is ‘Sandhurst Youth’. I feel strongly about supporting the young people of Sandhurst. The charity’s motto is ‘Every young person equipped with a dream’.
This charity believes that the young people of Sandhurst deserve the best possible start in life - one that will make them proud to have grown up in Sandhurst, and grateful to the town for offering the facilities and support to confidently approach adult life.
Sandhurst Youth is geared towards supporting and impacting the social and emotional needs of our young people. They believe that young people hold the keys to unlock the doors of opportunities and innovation, which is needed for their future. Their aim is to assist young people enjoy and embrace the journey of their lives.
I am asking you to please support the events I will be organising to raise funds for this worthy cause.
